Andy Hopper, recently elected Republican representative for Texas’s 64th House district, has made a series of public statements on social media addressing both international and local issues.

On November 2, 2025, Hopper posted support for former President Donald Trump and commented on religious violence. In his post, he stated: “I’m proud to stand with President Trump. The murder of Christians by radical Islam is an atrocity the west must not stand for.”

The following day, Hopper addressed environmental concerns regarding a proposed landfill project in his district. Quoting Doug Shaw from the Upper Trinity Groundwater Conservation District (GCD), Hopper wrote: “…we’re putting a landfill into the aquifer, not on top of it—in it. I don’t know what else to say. I don’t know why anyone would think that’s a good idea.” — Doug Shaw, Upper Trinity GCD

This project must not move forward. The statement reflects ongoing debates about water safety and waste management in North Texas.

Later on November 3, Hopper expressed support for Paulette—presumably a political ally or candidate—by posting: “Proud to support you, Paulette! Let’s go!!!”

Hopper assumed office in 2025 after winning election to represent Texas’s 64th House district, succeeding Lynn Stucky.
