Andy Hopper, a Republican elected in 2025 to represent Texas’ 64th House district, has recently shared a series of posts on his social media account addressing state university funding, commemorating a late colleague, and commenting on political imagery.
On September 8, 2025, Hopper commented on the allocation of state funds to universities in Texas. He wrote: “On Budget night last session, many Texas Universities were shocked to learn that Republicans wanted to stop pouring state money into woke institutions focused on indoctrinating students. This is why. No President defending these programs should expect to keep their job.”
The following day, September 9, Hopper paid tribute to Jill Glover. In his post he stated: “The memory of @JillGloverSD12 will live on throughout the ages in the halls of the Texas Capitol.”
On September 10, Hopper posted an image with a brief comment: “Such a beautiful map.”
Hopper began serving as the representative for Texas’ 64th House district after being elected in 2025 and succeeded Lynn Stucky.
