Andy Hopper, a Republican elected in 2025 to represent Texas’s 64th House district, has recently posted a series of statements on his social media account addressing legislative strategy and party unity.
On August 14, 2025, Hopper published a post urging immediate action: “Now is the time. https://t.co/h0qWx3bsuO”.
Later that day, he called for strong measures against Democratic legislators who leave their posts. In his words from an August 14 post: “House Conservatives must stand firmly together to demand that harsh penalties are enacted to ensure that dems never even CONSIDER abandoning their post in the future.
No more chairmanships of any kind to dems who fled.
Loss of seniority. No more ‘Dean of the House'”.
In another statement on August 14, Hopper emphasized commitment to his cause with the message: “We’re in this to win it. #BiggerBeautifulMap! https://t.co/Rbh1bpz9ra”.
Hopper assumed office following his election in 2025, succeeding Lynn Stucky as representative for Texas’s 64th House district.
