Andy Hopper, a Republican member of the Texas State House representing the 64th district, has recently used his social media platform to call for legislative action and comment on ongoing political issues.
On September 3, 2025, Hopper posted on X: “Another special session is required. #AxTheTax #BigBeautifulHouseMap https://t.co/c4sq5EMTkP”. Later that day, he followed up with another post stating, “It can be done. #AxTheTax https://t.co/359HsDLwVq”.
In a subsequent message on September 4, 2025, Hopper commented on recent legislative controversies involving Democratic members of the Texas House: “So true. I’ve seen House Dems stressed out about banning men in women’s restrooms, getting rid of DEI in schools, or banning CCP land ownership.
They aren’t that stressed out about #HR128. There must be real penalties for the dems who abandoned their post this session. https://t.co/YQK93cqS8B“.
Hopper was elected to represent Texas’s 64th House district in 2025 after defeating former state representative Lynn Stucky. His recent statements reflect ongoing debates within the Texas legislature over tax policy and other contentious issues such as diversity initiatives in education and property ownership by foreign entities.
