Andy Hopper, a Republican recently elected to the Texas State House representing the 64th district, has shared updates on his public activities and reflections on Texas history through a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter).
On October 1, 2025, Hopper described participating in an education policy discussion with Representative Richard Hayes at the ESC Region 11 Superintendent’s Circle. He expressed gratitude for the invitation from Courtney Carpenter: “Great morning discussing education policy with @RepRichardHayes at the ESC Region 11 Superintendent’s Circle. Thank you to @courtney_c_carp for inviting us!”
The following evening, October 2, Hopper thanked attendees of an event he characterized as patriotic: “What a great evening. Thank you to all the patriots who shared it with us.”
On October 3, Hopper commemorated an important moment in Texas history by referencing the Battle of Gonzales and its role in Texas’ path toward independence: “190 years ago today, 140 Texans took a stand against tyranny in Gonzales and and started Texas down the difficult road towards independence. Just 6 months later, the Republic of Texas raised its head among the nations.
May God Bless Texas! #GonzalesDay #TexasForever”
Hopper assumed office after being elected in 2025 to represent District 64 in the Texas State House, succeeding Lynn Stucky.
