Diesel gas was sold at the lowest price of $2.63 per gallon at three gas stations in Denton County during the week ending Jan. 10, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.
The county registered an average of $3 per gallon for diesel gas.
GasBuddy reports show that diesel gas was available at 158 of the 280 reported gas stations in Denton County.
The average reported price for a gallon of diesel gas in Texas was $2.99, down from the previous week.
U.S. gas prices continue to decline after reaching their lowest level since 2021, according to GasBuddy. The group projects the national average could dip below $2.80 per gallon during the holiday period, driven by increased oil production and lower seasonal demand.
