Matt Shaheen, a member of the Texas House of Representatives, recently posted a series of messages on his social media account covering religious reflections, property tax policy discussions, and political commentary.

On April 12, 2026, Shaheen shared a Bible verse with his followers: “Numbers 6:24-26 The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. #SundayMorning #Jesus”.

The following day, April 13, 2026, Shaheen commented on his participation at a public policy event: “Enjoyed the opportunity to talk on a panel, as well as to the media, about property tax relief, at this year’s @TPPF Summit. #txlege”.

Later that same day, he posted criticism directed at another political party: “The Democrat Party must address its systemic hate and use of violence by its Marxist, extremists base.”

Shaheen is a Republican who has represented Texas’s 66th House district since being elected in 2015. He succeeded Van Taylor in this role.
