Matt Shaheen, a Republican member of the Texas State House representing the 66th district since 2015, recently shared updates on his activities and community engagements through a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter).
On September 30, 2025, Shaheen posted about an event with another legislator: “I joined @RepRichardHayes recently to speak to a group of individuals who serve in the subcontractor industry.”
The following day, October 1, 2025, he addressed members of a local political organization: “Loved speaking to the great patriots at the Collin County Republican Assembly recently.”
On October 2, 2025, Shaheen extended greetings for a religious observance: “A meaningful Yom Kippur to my Jewish friends for your time of fasting, praying and repentance.”
Shaheen has represented Texas’s 66th House district since being elected in 2015. He succeeded Van Taylor in this role.
