Patterson announced via Twitter that as Texas mourns the loss from the recent flood disaster, he and Speaker Joe Moody are spearheading a bipartisan effort to raise funds for relief operations. Patterson provided an update stating that since the project commenced in the afternoon of the previous day, numerous House Members had responded by donating to the Community Foundation. Patterson shared that he received confirmation from Speaker Dustin Burrows and more than half of his Republican colleagues in the Texas House regarding their donations to support relief efforts through the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country.
