Rep. Jared Patterson, a member of the Texas House of Representatives, has been actively sharing updates on a bipartisan fundraising initiative aimed at supporting relief efforts following the devastating July 4th flood in the Texas Hill Country. Through a series of tweets, he outlines the progress and participation from various members and groups.

On July 6, 2025, Rep. Patterson announced via Twitter that as Texas mourns the loss from the recent flood disaster, he and Speaker Joe Moody are spearheading a bipartisan effort to raise funds for relief operations. He called on every House Member to contribute $1,000 to the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country. The tweet can be accessed here.

Later that day, on July 6, 2025, Rep. Patterson provided an update stating that since the project commenced in the afternoon of the previous day, numerous House Members had responded by donating to the Community Foundation. In addition to these contributions from lawmakers, former staffers, state board members, lobbyists, and other Texans have also made donations. The tweet is available here.

Continuing with his updates on July 7, 2025, Rep. Patterson shared that he received confirmation from Speaker Dustin Burrows and more than half of his Republican colleagues in the Texas House regarding their donations to support relief efforts through the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country.
