Denton County’s website has received a makeover.

It’s easier to view from mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets, according to a county news release. An alert system allows the county to provide time-sensitive information to residents by social media and email. The website can even translate content into more than 100 languages.

"The latest news from Denton County is available on the front page and departments can easily be found with the navigational toolbar," the county said. One can apply for permits and pay bills on the website as well.

“Our goal is to provide residents with an up-to-date tool to give them access to the information they need as quickly as possible,” Denton County Judge Andy Eads said. “With this new website, you can stay informed about Denton County in whatever format works best for you.”

The website is powered by a technology company, CivicPlus, that specializes in local governments.
