British luxury automaker McLaren Automotive is relocating its corporate headquarters from New York to Coppell.
According to a media release from McLaren, the automaker entered the U.S. market in 2011 and has seen an explosive increase of sales. It recently passed a milestone of 7,000 vehicles and continues to set monthly records with sales increasing more than 17% year-on-year in 2019.
This expansion has necessitated McLaren’s move from a 4,500-square-foot New York City downtown office suite to a custom-designed, 30,000-square-foot facility in a high-tech industrial park in Coppell.
McLaren's new Dallas headquarters will be within a three-hour flight of most McLaren retailers, which means that technical and customer support can be more swiftly provided.
“This new Texas facility means we now have the space and location to deliver even faster and effective support to our 27 strong retailer network as well as be cost-effective in both the maintenance of our own vehicle fleet and provision of training courses to our retail partners,” Tony Joseph, McLaren North American president, said.
