TWU STUNT ANNOUNCES 2023 SCHEDULE | Texas Woman's University Athletic Department

In their second season, Texas Woman's STUNT releases their 2023 schedule. 

After building a strong foundation in 2022, the Pioneers are feeling hopeful for the season ahead.

"We are really looking forward to hitting the ground running in our second season," Head STUNT Coach Jasmine Owens said. "Last year, it was great to get our feet wet. We're ready to build off of that foundation and show that we are ready to compete at a higher level." 

In preparation for the 2023 season, the Pioneers will host two home scrimmages this season. The first will take place on Sunday, Jan. 22 against St. Mary's and again on Saturday, Feb. 4 against Austin College. Both scrimmages will be held in Kitty Magee Arena, the times are to be determined. 

In 2022, STUNT was introduced to TWU as one of the fastest-growing female sports in the country. Incorporating skills derived from cheerleading, STUNT goes head-to-head displaying exciting, highly skilled routines in the following categories; partner stunts, jumps & tumbling, pyramids and tosses, and team routines.

"We've got quite a few games in Texas this year, and hope our fans can come out and cheer on the team," Owens said. 

TWU is set to kick off their 2023 season in Sherman, Texas on Sunday, Feb. 5 against Austin College, the time is to be determined. 

Following their road meet, the Pioneers will head to Dallas, Texas to compete in the Dallas Baptist University Tournament, where they will face off against Concordia College and Dallas Baptist on Feb. 17 and end with William Jessup on Feb. 18.

The Pioneers will travel to Oklahoma City for the Oklahoma City University Tournament beginning March 3 and ending March 4. They will go against three competitors including Oklahoma Baptist, Missouri Baptist and Buena Vista.As a celebration of their seniors, TWU will host UT Tyler on March 10 at 3:30 p.m. in KMA. 

Back on the road, the Pioneers will compete in San Antonio, Texas in a one-day tournament against St. Mary's and UT Tyler on March 18. 

To close out the 2023 regular season, TWU will take on Missouri Baptist and Drury in Springfield, Missouri for a one-day tournament hosted by Drury on March 25.
