UPDATE: Mosque Burglary Suspect Arrested
On Saturday, Feb. 25, at approximately 12:45 p.m., the Richardson Police Department took Muhammad S. Khan into custody. Khan was driving the same vehicle used during the Masjid-Al-Noor Islamic School/Mosque burglary on Feb. 13. The Flower Mound Police Department warrant attached to that vehicle’s license plate alerted Richardson PD’s license plate reader system, and an officer pulled Khan over and subsequently arrested him.
Khan, 36, of Virginia, is being charged with three counts of felony Burglary of Building (PC 30.02) related to the Feb. 13 incident during which donations for earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria were stolen from the Masjid-Al-Noor Islamic School/Mosque. He is currently being held on a $10,000 bond at the Denton County Jail for one of the charges and awaiting arraignment for the other two.
We’d like to thank the Richardson Police Department for their assistance in apprehending this suspect.
