1,616 New COVID-19 Cases in Denton County

County of Denton issued the following announcement on Jan. 14

Denton County Public Health (DCPH) announced 1,616 new and active cases of COVID-19 in Denton County.  This increases the cumulative, countywide total to 126,952 COVID-19 cases.  DCPH also reported 103 newly recovered cases of COVID-19, increasing the countywide recovery total to 110,238. 

To minimize spread of COVID-19, DCPH urges community members to:

  • Get vaccinated and boosted when eligible
  • Wear well-fitting masks in public indoor settings
  • Test five days after exposure or if you have symptoms of COVID-19
  • Isolate, quarantine, and wear a mask when recommended
