The high winds that came through Richardson Thursday evening resulted in downed trees and branches in several areas of the city. Parks and Recreation crews visited all local parks on Friday and cleaned up storm-related debris. If you experienced downed trees or other damage, you can request a Brush and Bulky Item Collection (BABIC) by visiting www.cor.net/babic, calling 972-744-4111 or through the MyRichardson smartphone app.

Debris Removal People requesting storm debris removal through BABIC are asked to place materials at their normal collection point and to be sure to “Think Big” – placing small amounts of material in the trash and large amounts for collection removal by BABIC trucks. Please also be sure to separate debris into piles of brush/limbs and non-brush/limbs.

Power Restoration Oncor continues to work to restore power across North Texas. At the height of the storm, power was interrupted to approximately 6,000 customers within the city. Power has since been restored to most customers, with 241 customers still without power at last report. To report an outage or check out the status of power line repairs, visit https://stormcenter.oncor.com/.
