After setting a season-high in Kitty Magee Arena, the Texas Woman's gymnastics team goes on the road for a dual against Southeast Missouri State.
The Pioneers' last meet was on Friday, Jan. 20 at home. Against Centenary, Air Force and Wisconsin – Eau Claire, TWU recorded a team season-high score of a 194.1500.
Four Pioneers recorded top event finishes at their home meet. Daisy Woodring won the vault title, hitting a season-high 9.8000. On bars, Brooke Ferrari tied for first with a 9.7500. Madeline Gose also tied for first on the beam, hitting a 9.8500. Then, on the floor, Alix Pierce claimed the event title with a career-high 9.9000.
TWU will travel to SEMO for the first time since the 2021 season. The Pioneers lost to the Redhawks 192.375 to 192.425.
The Pioneers will look to continue to improve and grow tonight at SEMO.

- REDHAWKS IN 2023: SEMO has competed in three meets so far this season. They opened the season at Lindenwood with a 191.775. Then, they hosted a tri-meet against Greenville and Centenary at home, winning the meet with a 193.350. Last weekend, on Jan. 20, SEMO competed in the Tennessee Collegiate Classic against Kent State, Lindenwood, Ball State and Fisk. The Redhawks scored a 195.350.
- TOP PERFORMERS: In their last meet at the Tennessee Collegiate Classic, Madison Greene led the Redhawks on vault with a 9.875. SEMO scored their lowest event score on bars, with a 48.600. Their highest performer on bars was Janelle Lopez with a 9.825. On beam, they were led by Madison Greene with a 9.850 and had four gymnasts score a 9.8 or higher. SEMO recorded their highest rotation score on floor, a 49.050. Madison Greene also led the Redhawks on the floor with a 9.850.
- LOOKING TO IMPROVE: While the Pioneers recorded a season-high last Friday, they recorded their lowest event scores on vault and bars. On beam and floor, the Pioneers scored a dual 48.9000. On Friday night, TWU will look to continue to elevate their performances and confidence on the vault on uneven bars.
