Business leaders group adds $25K gift to TWU scholarship fund

A Metroplex servant leadership organization has added a second $25,000 gift to a scholarship endowment launched in 2021 that benefits Texas Woman’s University business students.Business Navigators, a business organization serving North Texas made the gift in January to augment TWU’s Business Navigators Servant Leadership Scholarship Endowment, which supports students in the College of Business.“We are thrilled and honored that the Business Navigators have pledged this additional gift, which not only demonstrates the group’s engagement with the community, but sets a strong example for creating a positive impact,” said Kimberly Russell, Texas Woman’s vice president for advancement.

"We are so excited to enhance our partnership with TWU College of Business. The college’s leadership, led by Dean Rama Yelkur, sets a high bar and we are honored to support this fine university and its students," said Tracy Voltin, Business Navigators board president.The inaugural scholarship was awarded to a student in December 2022. The endowment gives preference to first-generation college students who have demonstrated community leadership.The Business Navigators group is comprised of almost 100 like-minded business leaders from the Metroplex who share a goal of supporting peers and community. It launched the endowment to advance one of the organization’s core values: servant leadership. The group seeks to build relationships through educational and charitable activities in North Texas communities.
