Texas Woman's University issued the following announcement on Dec. 20

Texas Woman’s University has tapped a veteran Colorado higher education administrator to oversee the institution’s enrollment management activities.

Mary Sauceda, who currently serves as associate vice president of enrollment management at Metropolitan State University in Denver, will take over the same position at Texas Woman’s beginning Feb. 7, 2022.

“Mary Sauceda has vast experience in the enrollment management arena, an impressive record of accomplishment and an innovative approach to gaining positive results, which makes her an excellent fit for Texas Woman’s University,” said Monica Mendez-Grant, TWU’s vice president for Student Life.

The enrollment management division is responsible for retaining and recruiting academic scholars and working on behalf of prospective students to help them navigate the enrollment process, which includes oversight for admissions and financial aid.

Sauceda has nearly 18 years of combined experience in enrollment management at Metropolitan State, the University of Denver and California State University, Fresno. She has been credited with establishing critical relationships with community partners, advancing underserved student populations and establishing mentoring programs aimed at student success.

“I am thrilled to join the enrollment leadership at Texas Woman's University,” Sauceda said. “I look forward to building upon the wonderful work already happening at all three campuses, and to further open opportunities for so many students to attain their dream of a college education.”
