Enrollment Analysis: Hispanic students comprised 24.5% of Northwest ISD schools' student body in 2022-23 school year

There were 7,163 Hispanic students enrolled in Northwest ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 8.3% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Northwest ISD schools welcomed 29,248 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Hispanic students comprised 24.5% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

Northwest ISD roughly covers schools within Denton County and has a main office in Justin.

Among the 33 schools in Northwest ISD schools, V. R. Eaton High School recorded the highest enrollment of Hispanic students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 859 students.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
